Air Fried Banana and Nutella Turnovers

Technically speaking, these Banana and Nutella Turnovers ain't turnovers. Somehow mine turned out round like scones.

These were super easy to make and took less than 5 minutes (preparation time)! One of the easiest recipes I know.

Ingredients:

  • Puff pastry or prata sheets
  • Nutella
  • 1 banana, sliced into pieces 
Instructions:

  1. Cut the pastry sheets into triangles and spread Nutella on it. 
  2. Place banana slices on top
  3. Fold pastry to form a triangle or just make sure it's covered properly on all sides
  4. Pre-heat air fryer for 2 minutes and bake at 180 degrees Celsius for 10-12 minutes until golden brown






Homecooked Sheng Mian (生面)

Recently the cooking fever got into me and I've been learning to whip up dishes. Eating homecooked food is always a healthier option.

Some of the dishes I've cooked include one of my family's favorite kind of noodles - "Sheng Mian" (生面). It's a special kind of noodle that somewhat tastes like ramen, but stickier. After trying Putien's Lor Mee for the first time in my life a few months back, I was determined to cook something similar.

Presenting to you... homecooked Sheng Mian Noodles!




Ingredients:
  • Sheng mian from the market (Request for the "white" version, else the aunty will probably give you the "yellow" one)
  • Dried scallops 
  • Fresh fish balls/fish cake
  • Black mushrooms
  • Chinese spinach
  • Fresh batang fish slices (also known as Spanish Mackerel) - I always purchase this from NTUC, about S$6/packet
  • Fried garlic onions or fried scrambled egg as toppings


Paddington House of Pancakes @ City Square Mall


Yesterday's awesome lunch with the colleagues at Paddington House of Pancakes @ City Square Mall! This was the Classic Buckleberry ($13), with real blueberry pancakes with scrambled eggs, cream cheese (yes within the pancakes!), and turkey bacon. Served with maple syrup. A weird combination of switching back and forth between the sweet and savoury, but boy, was it yummy.
